Police Validation Specialist
About The Position
The GCIC Police Validation Specialist conducts required validations of records entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the Georgia Criminal Justice Information Center (GCIC), and the Atlanta Police Department databases. This role enforces compliance with FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy, NCIC operating procedures, and state requirements for GCIC by verifying the accuracy, completeness, and validity of records maintained by the agency. Works under general supervision and follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
Requirements
- Knowledge of National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and Georgia Criminal Justice Information Center (GCIC) databases.
- Understanding of FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy and NCIC operating procedures.
- Ability to verify the accuracy, completeness, and validity of records.
- Ability to follow standardized procedures and written instructions.
- Ability to work under general supervision.
