About The Position
The Town of Johnstown, Colorado, is seeking passionate individuals to join its Police Department as a Police Officer Cadet. This role involves attending the Colorado POST academy for a semester starting in January 2027. Upon successful completion of the academy and obtaining POST certification, the cadet will undergo further training in a mini-academy to become a professional Police Officer. Johnstown is a growing community of 22,000 residents, known for its friendly neighborhoods, excellent public services, and quality shopping centers.
Requirements
- Colorado residence for at least one year prior to the start of the POST academy.
- Submit a resume and cover letter by the posted deadline.
- Contact the department and complete a citizen ride along is highly recommended.
