Under general direction, is responsible for the planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluation of training programs related to the Public Safety Communication Systems. Coordinates security compliance efforts with internal and external stakeholders which ensures compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies such as the Department of Public Safety (DPS), Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS), Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards (TCOLE), and Homeland Security. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff. This position is an "unclassified" position and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.
