About The Position

The Polaris Lounge Janitor keeps buildings clean and orderly, performing heavy cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role uses assigned materials and equipment, follows approved procedures and infection control plans, and complies with applicable federal, state, and county guidelines. The schedule is full-time, with days varying and shifts of either 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Some weekends and holidays are required. The fixed pay rate is $22.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Previous janitorial experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture to clean properly, then return furniture to its correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the work.
• Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
