About The Position

The Polaris Lounge Floor Attendant prepares, presents, and serves food as needed at the United Lounges Polaris Lounge in Chicago. The role includes food preparation and handling, maintaining clean work areas, following food safety and service standards, and providing friendly, efficient customer service. The position is full-time, with days that may vary and a scheduled shift from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Some weekends and holidays are required.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience is preferred.
• Previous busser or buffet experience is preferred.
• Some weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, the stove, and the refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
• Comply with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
