About The Position
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full-time Point of Care Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Service Director of Laboratory Services or an authorized designee, the coordinator supervises and coordinates Point of Care (POC) testing services to ensure efficient and reliable operations of all POC testing in the hospital.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
- ASCP Board of Registry examination and State of West Virginia license required, with annual renewal and the required number of CEUs.
- High degree of integrity.
- Ability to work in harmony with others.
- Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
- Highly developed sense of responsibility and awareness of the importance of the work.
- Acceptance of the demands on time and willingness to sacrifice in the interest of the profession.
- Tact and understanding in dealing with patients.
- Ability to willingly accept direction and supervision from supervisors.
Nice To Haves
- Point of Care testing experience is desirable.
