About The Position
The Point of Care Consultant oversees the operational and compliance aspects of provider services Point of Care testing under the guidance and direction of the Laboratory Director. The role requires knowledge of clinical laboratory functions and procedures, CAP and CLIA regulatory requirements, and hospital and laboratory information systems.
Requirements
- An Associate’s Degree or higher in a Health Science.
- Knowledge of clinical laboratory functions, practices, and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of CAP and CLIA regulatory requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of Hospital Information and Laboratory Information Systems.
Nice To Haves
- Current certification by a recognized professional organization, such as ASCP or NCA.
