About The Position

This role involves the assembly of POD 733 pumps. Key tasks include inspecting pumps for damage, removing bushings, using a press, sanding burrs, and ensuring gear clearance is within specification using feeler gauges. The assembly process requires torquing bolts to specific standards with torque tools. This position is ideal for an individual who is a decisive decision-maker, possesses a keen eye for detail, can effectively utilize various tools, machinery, and gauging equipment, and has excellent hand dexterity.

Requirements

Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs
Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx. 8-10 hours)
Ability to use handheld tools such as straight edge, feeler gauge, impact, inline torque gun, hydraulic press or arbor press, and slide hammer
Continuously stand
Frequently walk
Never sit
Occasionally stoop (forward leaning)
Occasionally reach/work overhead

Responsibilities

Inspect pump for damage
Remove bushing
Utilize a press
Sand burrs if needed
Bring gear clearance within spec by sanding and measuring with feeler gauges
Assemble pump
Torque bolts to spec using torque tools
