About The Position

The Transcend program is a global business transformation initiative aimed at modernizing foundational transactional processes and consolidating seven ERP systems into one S/4 HANA platform for the Innovative Medicine business. This program seeks to standardize ways of working, create a cost-effective digital backbone, and remediate end-of-life system risks. The PMO Operations Manager will support day-to-day PMO operations across a sophisticated, multi-release program environment, managing planning, governance coordination, risk management, reporting, and decision-support processes. This role involves driving executive reporting, ensuring global tools and capabilities deliver efficiency and experience outcomes, and working closely with PMO leadership, Global Program Managers, and cross-functional teams to maintain alignment, transparency, and operational rigor.

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s in business administration, Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management, including PMO experience within large, complex, global transformation programs, ideally including ERP implementations.
  • Consistent track record of successfully leading PMO operations teams, managing cross-functional and geographically dispersed resources.
  • Strong expertise in delivery governance, RAID management, schedule and scope control, status reporting, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement within PMO functions.
  • Experience providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, and support to teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong collaborator management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across project teams and business functions.
  • Strong business insight and understanding of compliance, quality standards, and change management principles.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software, and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and complex dependencies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead PMO operations across program phases to enable effective governance, clear communication, and high-quality inputs for decision forums.
  • Support integrated planning, RAID management, and change control to enable proactive risk management and focused execution.
  • Supervise schedule tracking by ensuring accurate, reliable, and data-driven alignment with the integrated program plan.
  • Lead scope governance by evaluating, documenting, and aligning changes with program objectives and collaborator expectations.
  • Deliver consistent and transparent status reporting across governance levels, providing clear, actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Identify risks and opportunities early by applying predictive delivery practices and supporting timely intervention and course correction.
  • Ensure PMO operations align with compliance and quality standards, reinforcing a strong risk management approach through tracking and follow-through.
  • Lead deliverable tracking and plan governance to maintain program integrity and delivery confidence.
  • Gather and maintain clear documentation of meeting outcomes, action items, and follow-up activities to support accountability and progress.
  • Coordinate PMO resources, including Deployment Leads and offshore teams, to support consistent delivery across program releases.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to cultivate collaboration, accountability, and team performance.
  • Partner with Global Program Managers and PMO leadership to align priorities, strengthen communication, and enable integrated delivery.
  • Build strong relationships across geographically dispersed teams to support collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Support issue resolution by coordinating escalations with PMO leadership and cross-functional collaborators.
  • Align deployment activities with program objectives by partnering with Deployment Leads to support execution and risk mitigation.
  • Provide clear and regular updates on PMO performance, resource needs, risks, and improvement opportunities to support informed decisions.
  • Promote continuous improvement by using data and insights to enhance processes, tools, and team effectiveness.
  • Maintain effective PMO operations through accurate planning, focused tracking, reliable governance, and proactive risk management.
