About The Position

Precook Slicer Janitor is responsible for performing general janitor duties to keep production areas clean, orderly, and in a functional condition. Maintains facility in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety standards. Provides day-to-day assistance to Supervisor/Management in meeting production and quality requirements. Responsible for understanding Daily’s GMP’s and safety policies. Additionally, may rotate job stations within Precook department.

Requirements

Must consistently follow company rules and procedures and ensure consistency with product specifications
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred
Uses appropriate equipment -squeegees, brooms, etc.- to maintain plant cleanliness
Basic math skills including ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Capability of working with and calculating percentages
Able to adhere to specifications
Must have superior attendance record
May not have any company disciplinary write ups within the past 6 months

Responsibilities

Collects and disposes of trash, paper, and scraps among other things in the appropriate manner
Sweeping floor and aisles as instructed
Ensures floor is clear of debris to maintain department safety
Safe and efficient handling of inedible barrels and pallets
Work at a pace consistent with line speeds
Keep accurate records as needed
Maintain accurate counts
Minimize scrap at all times
Follow procedures outlined by Department Supervisor/Department Lead
Follow Daily’s attendance and punctuality rules
Follow Daily’s Good Manufacturing Processes
Follow Daily’s Safety guidelines as outlined in Safety Handbook
Rotate job stations within Pump department
May be required to assist in other areas based on business need
Perform other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Daily’s business objectives
