As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced Plumbing Superintendent to join our team and help lead successful projects throughout the Charlotte region. The Plumbing Superintendent is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and overseeing all plumbing construction activities on assigned projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supervising commercial or multi-family plumbing construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods, and construction practices.
  • Proven leadership experience managing field crews and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of local plumbing codes and ADA requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise plumbing foremen, field personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct employee training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Assign manpower and resources to maximize productivity and project efficiency.
  • Communicate project goals, expectations, and safety requirements to field teams.
  • Plan and coordinate all plumbing installation activities from project start through completion.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust resources as necessary to maintain schedules.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts, design issues, and construction challenges.
  • Conduct inspections throughout all phases of construction.
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, company standards, and applicable building codes.
  • Maintain high levels of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on every jobsite.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and local building codes.
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and meetings.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and productive work environment.
  • Assist in managing project profitability and labor productivity.
  • Evaluate and implement change orders when necessary.
  • Coordinate material procurement and supply management.
