About The Position

J.F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is seeking a full-time New Construction Plumbing Superintendent. This role involves acting as a liaison between mechanics, builders, and managers, overseeing the technical performance of mechanics, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The superintendent is responsible for ensuring materials are on-site, evaluating work quality, assisting with installation challenges, communicating delays, and ultimately ensuring project profitability and timely completion.

Requirements

10+ years of residential new construction experience
Experience managing tradesmen
Experience managing subcontractors
Experience communicating with Builders
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Leadership ability
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Diplomatic
Effective problem-solving skills
Passion for quality
Enjoy mentoring others

Responsibilities

Act as the liaison between mechanics, builders, and managers.
Take charge of the technical performance of the mechanics.
Ensure mechanics have the guidance needed to succeed.
Confirm that proper procedures are being followed by all staff.
Ensure that materials are at the job site prior to scheduling the labor needed to complete the work.
Evaluate the quality of work at each phase of construction.
Assist with complex project installation challenges.
Effectively communicate challenges or delays to the division manager/builders.
Be responsible for the project's profitability and the meeting of deadlines for completion.
