Grant Mechanical of Traverse City, Michigan, is growing! We are seeking a Plumbing Service Tech to service plumbing equipment and fixtures in both residential and commercial applications. This job involves a specialized focus as a Plumbing Service Technician, meaning you will be primarily responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining water supply, drainage, and gas systems in existing residential or commercial buildings. Your work will include diagnosing and servicing a wide variety of fixtures and units, such as water heaters, toilets, sinks, and sump pumps, along with repairing or replacing their key components like valves, pipes, drains, and pressure regulators. You'll also handle comprehensive preventative maintenance and leak detection on these systems, which includes servicing related equipment like water softeners, filtration systems, and backflow preventers, ensuring the entire plumbing system continues to operate safely, efficiently, and completely free of leaks or blockages.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with current plumbing equipment & fixtures, including light commercial
  • Hold a valid driver license.
  • Maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to communicate with customers.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces & in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining water supply, drainage, and gas systems in existing residential or commercial buildings.
  • Diagnosing and servicing a wide variety of fixtures and units, such as water heaters, toilets, sinks, and sump pumps.
