About The Position

The Residential Installation Plumber installs and inspects tub sets and trims and maintains water distribution and sanitary plumbing systems. The role requires interpreting blueprints and building specifications to ensure plumbing work complies with applicable requirements. The plumber uses specialized tools and equipment to install, modify, repair, and replace plumbing components, tests fixtures and systems for proper operation, and follows state laws and local building codes. The position also includes maintaining an organized, fully inventoried truck and training new apprentices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of plumbing experience.
• Current driver's license and clean driving record.
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing installation and repair.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Ability to climb and work off ladders.
• Physical ability to work with tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain water distribution and sanitary plumbing systems.
• Inspect drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with local and national regulations.
• Interpret blueprints and building specifications for plumbing installations.
• Use tools and equipment, including saws and cutters, to perform installations and repairs.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using specialized tools.
• Repair and replace damaged plumbing parts.
• Train new apprentices in proper plumbing techniques and practices.
• Test plumbing systems and installed fixtures to ensure proper functioning.
• Follow state laws, regulations, and local building codes.
• Maintain a neat truck with a complete inventory.
