Plumbing Install Helper
About The Position
Davis Heating and Cooling is seeking a Plumbing Install Helper to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring plumbing expertise and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. This role involves assisting plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems, including water heaters, sinks, toilets, and tubs. Responsibilities include assembling, securing, and testing plumbing components, preparing and cleaning work areas, loading and unloading materials, and following safety procedures. The helper will also assist with reading blueprints, performing basic maintenance, and communicating effectively with the team to ensure a smooth workflow.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
- Basic plumbing knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be over 21
Responsibilities
- Assist plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems
- Support installation of water heaters, sinks, toilets, tubs, and other plumbing fixtures
- Help assemble, secure, and test plumbing components for leaks or defects
- Clean and prepare work areas, including removing debris and organizing tools
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper storage and handling
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, hazard‑free workspace
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints or installation instructions
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as tightening fittings or replacing simple parts
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow
