Plumbing Install Apprentice
About The Position
As a Plumbing Install Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience learning the plumbing trade alongside experienced professionals. You will assist with installing residential water supply and drain systems, water heaters and other plumbing appliances, and exterior water and drain lines. Through classroom instruction and on-the-job training, you will develop the skills and knowledge to build a long-term career in the plumbing industry. The role reports daily to the company’s main office in Rocky Mount, Virginia. No prior plumbing experience is required; paid training and hands-on instruction are provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least 19 years old with a valid driver’s license and at least three consecutive years of driving experience with an acceptable driving record.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana, in accordance with company policy.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials, bend, kneel, climb stairs, stand for extended periods, safely enter and exit vehicles, and work in various weather conditions while following safety procedures.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and late evenings as needed.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Demonstrate honesty, humility, initiative, a positive attitude, dependability, and a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions, maintain a clean and professional appearance, and take pride in quality workmanship.
- Willingness to accept coaching and feedback and work alongside experienced plumbers.
- Reliable transportation to report to the main office in Rocky Mount, Virginia, each scheduled workday.
