Plumbing Apprentice
About The Position
Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling is hiring a Plumbing Apprentice to learn the plumbing trade through on-the-job training and daily support from licensed plumbers. The apprentice assists with installations, repairs, and maintenance while developing skills for long-term career growth. The role involves working with customers, office staff, and coworkers; completing assigned work; and participating in required staff meetings and training sessions. Candidates must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, use hand and power tools, and meet employment conditions that include drug testing, background checks, and a valid driver's license.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend, and reach overhead.
- Ability to climb and work on ladders.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Must pass drug testing and background checks and have a valid driver's license as conditions of employment.
- Positive attitude and ability to promote a professional, friendly work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff, and coworkers.
- Conduct thorough inspections and accurately quote replacements or repairs.
- Complete proposed work as quoted.
- Participate in required staff meetings and training sessions.
- Help promote a positive, professional, and friendly work environment.

- Assist others with duties as assigned.
