About The Position

Carter’s My Plumber is hiring a full-time Plumbing Apprentice in Greenwood, Indiana, serving Indianapolis and surrounding communities. No plumbing experience is required; the company provides paid, hands-on training from licensed Master Plumbers. The position starts at $16–$18 per hour and offers a promotion path to Service Plumber, with a stated Service Plumber earnings range of $52,000–$150,000 per year, followed by opportunities to advance to Senior Plumber and Leadership. The schedule is Monday through Friday. The company is a third-generation, family-owned residential plumbing business based in Greenwood, serving Indianapolis since 1969, with about 50+ people.

Requirements

• No plumbing experience is required; training is provided.
• Strong work ethic and a coachable attitude.
• Reliability, including arriving on time and ready to work every day.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, and stay on your feet.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Ride along with and assist licensed Service Plumbers on residential calls across Indianapolis.
• Help with plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations, including water heaters, water lines, and fixtures.
• Learn plumbing systems, tools, and diagnostic techniques through hands-on work.
• Develop customer communication skills.
• Keep the service vehicle stocked, clean, and ready.
