About The Position
Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking Plumbers for a project in Henrico, Virginia. The role involves installing plumbing systems and performing preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and minor maintenance on existing systems. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months. The position may involve working in offices, shops, busy traffic areas, and warehouses, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. It has strenuous physical demands and requires safely accessing property and buildings, using required personal protective equipment, and operating relevant equipment and tools. The role is advertised as on-site.
Requirements
- Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings.
- May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
- Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands, alerts, alarms, and other job-related noises.
- Must be able to effectively use all required personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
- Must be capable of standing for long periods, bending consistently, working on ladders, and working in awkward body positions.
- Must be able to safely perform the strenuous physical demands associated with the essential functions of the position.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance and repairs according to work order requirements.
- Perform minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems, including unclogging toilets and drains, repairing leaks in drains and faucets, and replacing toilets and faucet fixtures as needed.
- Install plumbing systems.
- Stay current with safety regulations and requirements for plumbing systems the company installs and maintains.
- Maintain a work log with detailed reports of completed work.
- Complete service and asset inspections as needed.
- Observe SIC and client safety processes and procedures at all times.
- Perform other assigned or directed duties and responsibilities.
