About The Position

The Maintenance Clerk is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store, including restrooms and offices, and maintaining the inventory of cleaning supplies. The role involves cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, glass partitions, mirrors, furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; collecting trash; keeping floor areas dry; and deploying wet-floor cones when needed. Work takes place in an office and retail-store environment, with noise ranging from quiet to loud. Schedules vary according to business needs, and work may begin at midnight.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Friendly and people-oriented, with a positive attitude.
• Team player with a focus on quality.
• Work with a sense of urgency.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changes.
• Ability to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum building floors.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaning materials and tools.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Maintain dry floor areas, especially near the front door.
• Deploy wet-floor cones when necessary.
• Maintain cleaning-supply inventory.
