About The Position

The Maintenance Clerk is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store, including restrooms and offices, and maintaining the inventory of cleaning supplies. The role involves cleaning floors, emptying trash, servicing restrooms, cleaning windows and surfaces, dusting, and keeping floors dry. Work schedules vary according to business needs and may begin at midnight. The work environment is typical of an office and retail store, with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Friendly and people-oriented, with a positive attitude.
• Team player with a focus on quality.
• Work with a sense of urgency.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changes.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum building floors.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaning supplies and tools.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Maintain dry floor areas, especially near the front door.
• Deploy wet-floor cones when necessary.
• Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies.
