About The Position

Champion Home Builders is hiring a Plumber for its Lindsay, California region. Under general supervision, the Plumber works as part of a production-line team to build manufactured housing, completing quality work at a fast and consistent pace. The role involves installing, repairing, inspecting, and testing plumbing and drainage systems in residential structures, as well as performing light construction and related work as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate.
State plumbing license.
1–3 years of experience as a journeyman plumber.
Valid driver’s license.
Skilled in using hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade.
Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.
Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.
Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.
Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to complete projects independently.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversions.

Responsibilities

Install and repair pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures in residential structures.
Oversee the fitting and repair of sanitation systems, including bathtubs, showers, toilets, and sinks.
Test plumbing systems to identify leaks and other faults.
Drill or cut holes in walls and floors to create passages for pipes.
Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
Follow building plans and blueprints.
Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
Perform light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required.
Work on the production line as part of a team and maintain quality and consistent work pace.
