Plumber II - Granville Correctional Institution
About The Position
The Plumber II provides facility maintenance and plumbing support at a close-custody male correctional facility and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The position performs journey-level installation, maintenance, and repair of air, gas, water, and waste disposal systems. Work includes routine assignments and needed repairs, as well as special or unusual assignments performed with specific instructions. The employee exercises considerable independence on routine work; unprecedented assignments are generally discussed with or supervised by a foreman. Work is reviewed through inspections while in progress and by assessing the satisfactory operation of repaired or installed equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in the repair, replacement, or construction of piping systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May require appropriate licensure by the governing board or commission, based on the nature of work performed.

Responsibilities

- Ensure repaired or installed equipment operates satisfactorily and is subject to inspection during work.
