About The Position

Rich Products is looking for a PLM Specialist to join their Digital Center of Excellence (CoE) within the Research, Innovation and Compliance (RIC) function. This role serves as a subject matter expert in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and processes, responsible for facilitating RIC-related workflow transactions to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely product data throughout Speed-To-Market (STM) project lifecycles. The position collaborates with R&D, STM Coordinators, QA, Operations, and Plant Teams to execute PLM workflows, maintain data integrity, and ensure business continuity across USC categories and manufacturing locations. The PLM Specialist is expected to be a hands-on system power user with elevated system access and deep process knowledge, modeling and enforcing excellence and governance standards. The preferred locations for this role are Buffalo, NY, or St. Simon's Island, GA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience supporting PLM systems, product data lifecycle management, or R&D/STM workflows.
  • High level of proficiency using a PLM system (SAP/Oracle/Siemens or other recipe management database).
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail for highly data rich transactions where accuracy is of utmost importance.
  • Capable of problem solving and critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, listening and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders across multiple audiences/functions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely entry of assigned data responsibilities in PLM system, including formulas and Finished Good (FG) recipes, specifications, and controlled documentation and records management.
  • Create, launch, monitor, and support PLM workflows in alignment with requirements outlined in the Enterprise PLM manual.
  • Review existing workflows and support system troubleshooting activities.
  • Serve as the PLM representative on STM teams, providing guidance on PLM workflows.
  • Act as the R&D team member for STM project work for non-development or low complexity initiatives.
  • Validate PLM data accuracy and completeness, partnering with R&D when verification is required.
  • Ensure PLM data supports downstream systems (e.g., ERP/SAP, plant systems) and regulatory compliance.
  • Uphold PLM data standards, authorization rules, and IP protections across categories and plants.
  • Act as Raw Material Evaluation (RME) Administrator, when assigned, overseeing the setup of new RMEs, collection and validation of required documentation, entering ingredient parameters into PLM Specifications, launching and monitoring RME workflows, and supporting the Global Replace process for ingredient and material change.
  • Support data insight/data service requests as part of the RIC Digital COE ecosystem, including gathering data, translating it into actionable insights, cleansing data, scrutinizing reports, identifying opportunities for process enhancements, developing data dashboards, and conveying insights through reports and visual presentations.
