About The Position

At Tenneco, we don’t follow industry standards; we set them, and we don’t settle for being best-in-class because we hustle to be better than best-in-class. Whether it’s our Core Values–radical candor, simplify, organizational velocity, tenacious execution and win–or our Get Stuff Done (GSD) mindset, we’re determined to become the most trusted partner and best manufacturer and distributor to the transportation industry. How do we make it happen? Through the Tenneco Way. Fueled by our Core Values, a winning mindset and a relentless commitment to excellence, the Tenneco Way is how we win. It’s what keeps Team Tenneco bold, driven, and unapologetically focused on pushing past limits and redefining success. Here, you’ll work alongside a team of relentless problem-solvers who are committed to making a tangible impact. If you’re ready to break boundaries, deliver results, and enjoy the ride along the way, you’ll thrive here. You don't just keep Plex running — you shape how it works. Security models, workflows, custom SQL reports, VisionPlex screens, EDI integrations — you design and own the configurations that turn Plex into a genuine competitive advantage for the business. When the system isn't delivering for the plant, you're the one who sees it first and fixes it. You bring structure where there's ambiguity, reliability where there's been guesswork, and capability where people have been working around limitations for years. This is a high-visibility role at the center of a multi-year supply chain transformation. You'll be a primary driver of ERP utilization across Powertrain Americas — partnering directly with supply chain leadership and plant operations to close the gap between what Plex can do and what the business actually needs. The goal is straightforward but meaningful: accurate data, clean configurations, optimized workflows, and a system people trust to make decisions. If you've ever wanted to build something that lasts — not just patch it — this is the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering, Industrial Operations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Supply Chain Plex ERP experience in a manufacturing environment. Multi-site or regional administration experience is strongly preferred.
  • Deep familiarity with Plex modules: Inventory, Production, Procurement, MRP, Job Management.
  • Deep proficiency in Plex ERP — security model, module configuration, workflow design, and SQL/VisionPlex reporting. Multi-site administration experience preferred.
  • Experience configuring and managing EDI trading partner integrations within Plex, including mailbox creation, transaction troubleshooting, and partner onboarding.
  • Track record of improving ERP data quality through systematic audit programs, governance processes, and root cause elimination — not just one-time data cleanup.
  • Understanding of how plant-level ERP data feeds enterprise analytics platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with EDI standards (ANSI X12 or EDIFACT) a plus.
