About The Position

The Players Club Clerk is responsible for introducing and explaining the benefits of Players Club membership to guests, registering new members, printing and reprinting Players Club Cards, determining member eligibility for comps, and issuing prizes and rewards. This role also involves answering guest inquiries about general casino information, identifying and welcoming VIP players, surveying the floor to encourage enrollment, assisting with Group Sales events, and participating in special events and promotions. Additionally, the clerk will answer phones, assist in paying winners, maintain knowledge of promotions and events, learn to operate machinery like kiosks, announce and photograph jackpot winners, make microphone announcements, page customers or employees, and keep the work area clean and orderly. The essential functions are a general representation and may change based on organizational needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Must have computer experience. (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must maintain a regular attendance record.
  • Working knowledge of casino operations, including floor layout.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must obtain a Key Gaming License upon hire.
  • May be required to bend and lift-up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to lifting and/or carrying loading and unloading gift items or retrieving them from shelves or other places.
  • Repetitious computer work.
  • Record information on new customers, and updates database as needed such as memos, forms, and miscellaneous paperwork as needed
  • Good vision abilities required by this job.
  • Displays leadership qualities and the ability to serve both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to maintain high confidentiality.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor. This includes, but not limited to phone etiquette and customer courtesy.

  • Must obtain key-gaming license upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Introduces and explains the benefits of Players Club membership to guests and registers new members into the database.
  • Printing and reprinting of Players Club Cards.
  • Determines the eligibility of members for comps.
  • Issues prizes and rewards to club members.
  • Answers guests’ inquiries regarding general casino information.
  • Identifies and welcomes VIP players and Players Club members.
  • Surveys floor to identify guests not using a club card, informs them of the benefits of Players Club membership, and encourages enrollment.
  • Assist in getting Group Sales events ready such as gaming covers etc. (Groups, Buses, Trade Shows, Community Events and Concerts)
  • Participates in special events and promotions as needed.
  • Answer phones, transferring to appropriate department and/or take messages when necessary.
  • Assists in paying winners from events, promotions, and drawings.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all promotions, events, and drawings in order to effectively explain to guests.
  • Must be able to develop a working knowledge of machinery used during events and promotions such as kiosks.
  • Responsible for announcing and taking photos of all jackpot winners and grand prize winners.
  • Making announcements on microphone about casino promotions and events. Paging customers or employees when necessary.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
