PLAYER SERVICES CASHIER
About The Position
The Player Services Cashier handles guest-facing financial transactions and player account services, maintains accurate transaction records and cash balances, and provides information about membership benefits, promotions, events, and offers. The role also processes promotional redemptions and entertainment ticket sales, and assists with casino and property-wide events. The position is based in a fast-paced casino environment that may be crowded and noisy, with exposure to second-hand smoke and bright lights. The role requires standing, lifting, walking, bending, and stooping throughout the shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- General cashiering or prior money-handling experience.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to stand, lift, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the shift.
- Must be able to obtain a Louisiana gaming license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a frequently crowded and noisy environment.
Nice To Haves
- Six months to one year of customer service experience preferred.
- 10-key experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Handle financial transactions, including performing credit checks, releasing jackpot payments, exchanging cash for casino tokens, and cashing checks.
- Review player information against established criteria to determine PennPlay member admission qualifications; open player accounts, issue replacement cards, and merge duplicate accounts.
- Account for transactions and balance books to ensure casino revenue accuracy.
- Respond to guest questions and concerns and provide exceptional guest service.
- Keep the cash drawer balanced and make exchanges with the vault when necessary.
- Communicate Players Club membership benefits to guests.
- Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming promotions, events, and property offers and communicate them to guests.
- Fulfill promotional offers redeemed at the club, including coupons, prizes, redemptions, entertainment tickets, and drawing tickets.
- Operate a point-of-sale register and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions for entertainment ticket sales.
- Participate in and assist with casino and property-wide events as needed.
