About The Position

MedMe Health is seeking a senior platform engineer (infrastructure and observability) for its Nova pod. The Nova pod builds and owns the platform that other services run on, including AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, observability, and security controls. The role involves taking ownership of major platform initiatives such as HIPAA audit logging, observability, or infrastructure consolidation, improving the AWS and CDK setup, and becoming a go-to person for infrastructure questions. Longer-term responsibilities include owning the deployment pipeline, driving security and compliance, and helping set technical direction for the platform as it grows.

Requirements

• Operated production infrastructure at scale.
• Been on call for production infrastructure.
• Strong Terraform experience.
• Hands-on AWS CDK experience, ideally in TypeScript.
• A working base in EST or close to it.
• A bias toward accuracy over speed.

Nice To Haves

• GCP or Azure experience alongside AWS.
• Experience in a regulated or healthcare environment (HIPAA, PHIPA, SOC 2), or genuine interest in learning that side.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of at least one major platform initiative end to end (HIPAA audit logging, observability, or infra consolidation).
• Get deep enough in our AWS and CDK setup to make confident changes, and start untangling the per-repo configuration sprawl.
• Become a default person other pods come to with infrastructure questions.
• Own the deployment pipeline story, moving from bespoke per-repo setups to something configurable and boring.
• Drive our security and compliance posture on the infrastructure side, in partnership with our Enabling Engineer for Security and Compliance.
• Help set the technical direction for the platform as our footprint grows across regions and cloud providers.
