About The Position

This position partners closely with IT Security, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to safeguard data, manage user access, and reduce risk in the Salesforce environment while enabling efficient business operations. The ideal candidate will be successful in this role by consistently demonstrating the following: Actively looks for opportunities to strengthen Salesforce security posture Understands how administrative decisions impact confidentiality, integrity, and availability Takes clear ownership of Salesforce access governance, user lifecycle management, and security controls Translates security requirements into practical Salesforce configurations Builds trust by balancing business enablement with sound security controls Troubleshoots complex permission and data‑access issues across roles, profiles, and automation Adapts quickly to Salesforce platform changes, new security features, and evolving compliance requirements Keeps current on Salesforce security best practices and release features

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related experience
  • Four or more years of experience in release practices and environments or other related experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience as a Salesforce Administrator
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security architecture (profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules)
  • Working knowledge of IT security principles (least privilege, data classification)
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Experience with Salesforce Shield (Event Monitoring, Platform Encryption)

Responsibilities

  • Provides support on architectural design and maintenance of the platform’s (COTS, SaaS, ERP) environment with distributed components
  • Ensures compliance with the organization's requirements through the implementation of, auditing of, and adherence to policies, procedures, and security standards
  • Plans software upgrades, patching, & plugin installations in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Monitors performance, resolves problems, & manages component capacity issues
  • Design, test, develop, configure, & maintain integrations to platform’s applications
  • Adhere to the platform’s security and coding standards for resilience, data, and security
  • Review business requirements to deploy the best solution, including configuring, coding, & debugging
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments to communicate statuses & technical proposals
  • Deploy and configure platform applications tailored to company needs
  • Design technical solutions, configure/customize, test, maintain the platform applications to meet company requirements
  • Performs other duties as required
