Plate Roll Operator (2nd Shift)

nVent•Richland, MS

About The Position

The Plate Roll Operator rolls aluminum sheets to a defined radius using a plate roll machine. The operator references prints to determine sheet quantities and required radii, adjusts the machine for the specified radius and material thickness, and loads sheets using a vacuum lifter and roller table. After rolling, the operator checks the piece for roundness, radius, and end alignment; tack welds the ends of fully rolled cylindrical pieces; and removes completed pieces by hand or overhead crane. The operator identifies and stages pieces, records daily production counts for the Team Lead, and keeps the work area clear of scrap and debris. Other duties may be assigned. The role requires basic print reading and tape-measure skills, accurate electronic material transaction recording, effective prioritization, and communication and collaboration with teammates. The work takes place in a non-air-conditioned production environment and involves standing and walking for most of the shift, as well as manually lifting items up to 40 pounds. The position is identified as second shift.
