About The Position
The Plate Mounter prepares and inspects printing plates, then mounts them onto cylinders for use in flexographic printing presses. The role supports the quality and consistency of printed packaging products by ensuring plates are aligned and registered according to job specifications. This is a full-time, on-site position in Woodland, Washington. Hands-on training is provided.
Requirements
- Previous experience in plate mounting or a similar role in the flexographic printing industry is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to read a tape measure and interpret job specifications and work instructions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and inspect printing plates to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Mount printing plates onto cylinders according to job specifications, ensuring proper alignment and registration.
- Maintain accurate records of plate inventory and usage.
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow and timely completion of production jobs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plate mounting or printing processes.
