About The Position

Lavelle Industries is hiring a full-time Plastic Press Operator for its manufacturing team in Whitewater, Wisconsin. The role operates and monitors plastic injection molding machines, inspects molded parts, and supports safe and efficient production in a clean, climate-controlled facility. Operators spend much of the shift on their feet moving around the work area and handling materials. The posted wage is $21.50.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail in production processes.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and perform basic math calculations.
Ability to work at an established production level appropriate to the job.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Ability to use problem-solving to identify and follow safety protocols.
Good physical mobility.
Must use personal protective equipment when relevant.

Nice To Haves

Previous machine operator experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor plastic injection molding machines to ensure quality standards.
Make minor adjustments to auxiliary equipment and manually change resins as needed.
Inspect molded products and package them for assembly or shipment.
Meet daily production goals while following safety and efficiency processes.
Perform press functions, including opening and closing molds and purging materials.
Set up and shut down machinery.
Store molded products in labeled containers.
Prepare resin dryers by cleaning out previous materials, loading new materials, and adjusting settings.
Clean and inspect equipment routinely to meet 5S and TPM standards.
Record and submit accurate production and quality data.
