About The Position

The Press Operator at JOHNS BYRNE CO is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Press Operator in a manufacturing or printing environment.
• Experience operating and maintaining printing presses with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues related to press operations.
• Understanding of press setup, adjustment, and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders and specifications.
• Proficiency using measuring tools and equipment to ensure print quality and alignment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and address operational issues.
• Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate printing presses according to job specifications and production schedules.
• Monitor print runs to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and printing issues to minimize downtime and complete print jobs on time.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support efficient workflow and address production challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of production runs, materials used, and job completion times.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Seek opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency in press operations.
