About The Position

The Plasma Processor works in a plasma center and handles operational duties such as maintaining accurate donor files, shipping, and inventory control. The role involves collecting and processing donor samples, recording product and sample weights, labeling samples, freezing units for final packing, and preparing units and samples for shipment to a testing laboratory. The processor monitors stored products and reports equipment working conditions while maintaining active communication and quality. Training is provided. Work includes exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold in a plasma freezer. Required personal protective equipment includes protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-weather gear.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Superior customer service standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Organizational, computer, and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfort working in extreme temperatures.
• Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and ideas.
• Ability to perform the physical and visual demands described, including standing, frequent hand movements, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and required vision and hearing acuity.
