About The Position

The Plant Utility is responsible for day-to-day duties needed to complete work safely and promptly while maintaining a clean work site. The position follows the company safety program and contributes as a member of the team. Work is performed in a plant environment, mostly outdoors, and may involve inclement weather. Employees may handle sensitive confidential information. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to read, speak, and write English.
• Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, and commitment to excellence, with appropriate communication.
• Dependability, reliability, and ability to fulfill responsibilities.
• Able to use hands and arms to handle, install, position, and move materials and manipulate objects.
• Able to wear common protective or safety equipment, including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats when needed.
• Regularly able to sit or stand, reach, and move about the facility.
• Able to work independently and as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures and remain aware of safety requirements.
• Participate in all safety meetings.
• Perform shoveling, sweeping, and monitoring duties.
• Operate and service small equipment; understand or be familiar with power tools and small tools.
• Conduct pre-operation equipment checks.
• Clean, lubricate, and fuel equipment, and perform general site housekeeping.
• Ensure safety fences, markings, and berms are in place.
• Notify a supervisor and/or maintenance of work that needs to be done.
• Perform other related duties as required.
