About The Position

The Plant Utility position performs day-to-day work needed to complete tasks safely and on time while maintaining a clean work site. The employee follows the company safety program and contributes to the team. Work is performed in a plant environment, with most work taking place outdoors and exposure to inclement weather. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read, speak, and write English.
• Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
• Regularly able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 pounds or more.
• Frequently able to walk on uneven ground.
• Able to handle, install, position, and move materials and manipulate objects using hands and arms.
• Able to wear common protective or safety equipment, including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats when needed.
• Regularly able to sit or stand, reach, and move about the facility.
• Must work independently and as a member of a team.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, and commitment to excellence, with appropriate communication.
• Dependability, reliability, and fulfillment of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Remain aware of and adhere to safety requirements.
• Participate in all safety meetings.
• Perform shoveling, sweeping, and monitoring.
• Operate and service small equipment.
• Use power tools and small tools.
• Conduct pre-operation equipment checks.
• Clean, lubricate, and fuel equipment, and perform general site housekeeping.
• Ensure safety fences, markings, and berms are in place.
• Notify a supervisor and/or maintenance of work that needs to be done.
• Perform other related duties as required.
