About The Position

This role provides hands-on leadership for Maintenance and Engineering to maximize production volume while meeting cost targets. The manager will oversee maintenance personnel and technical teams supporting Maintenance, Engineering, Printing, Production, and Facilities. Key responsibilities include ensuring facilities and production equipment are reliably maintained and available to schedule, owning the capital and engineering expense budgets, identifying and prioritizing investments, preparing and submitting Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs), and coordinating all phases of capital execution. The role also involves delivering engineering support to sustain production, driving communication and adoption of manufacturing and technical initiatives, managing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budget for the technical group, meeting site environmental compliance obligations, and actively supporting plant safety programs. Additionally, the manager will lead hiring, salary administration, performance management, employee development, and salary reviews.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of manufacturing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Applied knowledge of statistical methods and process improvement techniques.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skills; effective with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven team-building capability and leadership presence.

Nice To Haves

  • BA or BS preferred in Industrial Management, Engineering, or Business.
  • Paper or consumer packaging background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hiring, salary administration, performance management (including disciplinary actions), employee development, and salary reviews.
