About The Position

Airgas is hiring a Plant Operator at its Ringgold, Georgia facility, which produces and fills acetylene. The role supports safe, efficient facility operations and cylinder filling to maintain product quality and a steady supply of industrial gases. The operator cares for production equipment, performs routine inspections and maintenance contributions, moves and fills cylinders, conducts quality checks, and maintains records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities. The position also involves following safety procedures and participating in team meetings and safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Forklift operating experience and the ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Experience with loading and unloading, sorting, and heavy lifting.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety and following established protocols.
• Flexibility to work shifts and occasional extra hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for plant equipment, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and contribute to maintenance, promptly raising equipment needs.
• Safely transport and fill cylinders and perform quality checks.
• Maintain records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings and safety initiatives.
