About The Position

Responsible for operating stationary engines and mechanical equipment, including chillers, compressors, generators, and steam boilers. This equipment provides facility utilities and services such as lighting, heat, ventilation, medical gases, refrigeration power, and air conditioning.

Requirements

• GED or high school diploma.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to inspect equipment or systems and identify conditions requiring correction.
• Working knowledge of common hand tools, general safety, blueprints, and schematic diagrams, and ability to interpret instructions.
• Basic working knowledge of electricity and distribution systems.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical, carpentry, and plumbing repairs.
• 1–2 years of experience in building maintenance or central plant operations.
