About The Position

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a Plant Operator for its medical waste treatment facility in Easton, Pennsylvania. The role involves checking in containers, verifying paperwork, moving and unloading designated waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. It suits someone who enjoys varied work and can solve practical problems. The position is permanent, full-time, and 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday on the third shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The stated rate is $22.00 per hour and is non-negotiable. Full-time employees receive benefits, sick leave, and vacation leave from day one. Daniels Health provides medical waste collection and treatment services to healthcare organizations, with a focus on safety, infection control, and reducing environmental burden.

Requirements

Previous experience in a labor-intensive warehouse job, including repetitive lifting of containers weighing 50 to 75 pounds.
Basic math skills and ability to read and record weights accurately.
Familiarity with weighbridge or scale systems.
Comfort performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in PPE.
Demonstrated longevity with employers.
Can-do attitude.
Willingness to complete a five-panel urine drug screening.
Willingness to undergo a seven-year background check.

Responsibilities

Check in waste containers and double-check paperwork.
Move and unload designated waste containers.
Operate a forklift to load an autoclave.
Lift bins weighing 55 pounds and push a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 pounds.
Read and record weights accurately.
Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
Stand for extended periods and work in personal protective equipment (PPE).
