About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Plant Operations Assistant to join our team at Holliday Farms in Zionsville, IN. This full-time position involves assisting the Plant Operations Director in maintaining the community, servicing equipment, and responding to maintenance requests. The role requires a proactive approach to ensuring the safety of employees, guests, and residents, and addressing potential environmental hazards or emergencies.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction, refinishing, painting, plumbing, floor/carpet care, refurbishing required.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of experience in apartment or other multiple unit maintenance with supervisory experience.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items more than 50 pounds.
  • Position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Use of a ladder is required.
  • Job functions require both indoor and outdoor work, including in periods of inclement weather.
  • Must be criminally cleared.
  • Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
  • Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than six (6) months prior to or seven (7) days following employment.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening.
  • Must have a clean driving record as per the insured’s policy.
  • Must have a working knowledge of current OSHA regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • A certification and experience in HVAC is highly recommended.
  • Landscaping experience a plus.
  • Experience in senior housing is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Plant Operations Director in maintaining all areas of the community.
  • Service equipment and tools.
  • Rapidly respond to repair and maintenance requests.
  • Properly document progress and completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Keep the safety of employees, guests, and residents at top of mind.
  • Address potential environmental hazards.
  • Respond to emergencies.
