About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and direction of the manufacturing operations to maximize their profitability and efficiencies while minimizing safety, quality, and costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or completion of bachelor’s degree within the next year
  • 7 or more years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Monitoring and responding to plant KPI’s
  • Working knowledge of Kaizen principles and managing employees to stay on task with kaizen KPI requirements
  • Outstanding analytical ability to understand complex problems and develop effective solutions
  • Awareness of marketplace drivers in automotive components industry and how those can be leveraged effectively in conducting business for the organization
  • Awareness of emerging manufacturing technologies and systems and how they can be implemented within the business to gain operating efficiencies
  • Outstanding leadership and people skills to positively motivate employees and the organization toward achieving goals
  • Excellent business planning and resource allocation skills to meet goals
  • Budgeting and P&L experience.
  • Teamwork with all departments at PK USA

Responsibilities

  • Provide Leadership and direction to the Production Departments: Formal or informal discussions concerning process improvements, new model development, customer issues, production issues, quality issues, etc.; Problem solving any factory issues; Ensure department is following safety and housekeeping procedures and meeting expectations; Ensure documentation is present and up to date; Conduct Kaizen events for process improvement; Conduct meetings to review performance results; Review countermeasure actions to determine improvement or problem resolution.
  • Training and development of managers and team leaders.
  • Conduct administrative tasks: Daily review and processing of purchase orders, review performance reports, review vacation requests, answer e-mails, consider investment proposals, address training issues, safety issues, etc.; Budget preparation and semi-annual re-adjustment; Bill of material analysis and correction.
  • Reporting of factory performance: Report on monthly KPI action plan with focus on scrap, labor, and cost savings results; Prepare financial reports, action plan meeting report, headcount control, line audit results; Actual vs. budget performance reports; Back-up plan preparation and reporting.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
