About The Position

This Plant Maint Mechanic II role involves hands-on maintenance and repair of quarry plant equipment to ensure safe and continuous operations. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues related to conveyors, crushers, screens, and fixed plant systems, as well as performing welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks for equipment and structural repairs. The position also entails conducting preventive maintenance inspections and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime. Collaboration with operations and maintenance teams is essential, with a strict adherence to all safety and environmental standards. Requirements

  • Demonstrated capability in industrial mechanical maintenance within a quarry, mining, or heavy industrial setting
  • Strong working knowledge of welding, cutting, and metal fabrication techniques
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and apply effective mechanical solutions
  • Consistent commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a plant environment
  • Capacity to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced operation

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of quarry plant equipment to support safe, continuous operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues involving conveyors, crushers, screens, and fixed plant systems
  • Execute welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks to repair and modify equipment and structures
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and complete corrective actions to reduce downtime
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance team members while following all safety and environmental standards
