Plant Maint Mechanic II
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role performs mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. The mechanic will conduct inspections, identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and longevity, and install, align, and maintain mechanical systems, including conveyors, crushers, and rotating equipment. Collaboration with team members to complete planned and unplanned maintenance activities efficiently and adherence to safety procedures are key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- Demonstrated capability in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to safe work practices
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
