About The Position

This position is for a Plant Maintenance Mechanic II in the Aggregates line of business. Heidelberg Materials is a global supplier of building materials with a significant presence in North America. The role involves performing hands-on maintenance and repair of quarry plant equipment to ensure safe and continuous operations. This includes troubleshooting mechanical issues, executing welding and fabrication tasks, and conducting preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Demonstrated capability in industrial mechanical maintenance within a quarry, mining, or heavy industrial setting
• Strong working knowledge of welding, cutting, and metal fabrication techniques
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and apply effective mechanical solutions
• Consistent commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a plant environment
• Capacity to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced operation

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of quarry plant equipment to support safe, continuous operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues involving conveyors, crushers, screens, and fixed plant systems
• Execute welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks to repair and modify equipment and structures
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and complete corrective actions to reduce downtime
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance team members while following all safety and environmental standards
