About The Position

The Plant Foreman, Walker County Stone, will be responsible for the supervision and daily operation of the facility to ensure maximized efficiency in Safety, Quality, and Production of the operation. This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities in an industrial environment. The Plant Foreman is responsible for enforcing and maintaining safety procedures, awareness, and engagement at the job site, including conducting weekly safety meetings with employees. This role also coordinates the work force to drive plant outputs, trains employees on equipment and operating procedures, and maintains operational goals by monitoring outputs and communicating information to Management. The Plant Foreman will produce and communicate reports to other areas of Production, Quality, and Management, and will work to minimize downtime of the plant and improve efficiency in operations. Additionally, this role coordinates maintenance and repair schedules for machines and inspects, identifies, and implements solutions on safety hazards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ recent related experience with at least 3 years’ of supervisory experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the production operations and equipment in a frac sand plant.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
  • Agree to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the company.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, motor vehicle records check (when applicable), and physical/occupational screenings.
