About The Position

As a Plant Controller II, you will play a critical leadership role at the intersection of manufacturing performance, financial strategy, and cost transformation. This role provides full financial ownership of two manufacturing sites, our Atlanta West plant (Forest Park, GA) and our Aberdeen, MD plant—partnering closely with operations to drive cost discipline, improve performance, and deliver business results. The role is on-site and will be based in Forest Park, requiring travel two times a month to the Aberdeen plant. It reports into the Forest Park Plant Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing finance as a Plant Controller or equivalent role.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Experience leading cost-saving projects.
  • Proven ability to identify cost opportunities and drive execution through cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with SAP ERP systems required.
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
  • SOX or audit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the financial lead for the two manufacturing plants, owning budgeting, forecasting, cost control, inventory, and reporting.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to plant and area leadership, influencing decisions that impact safety, service, productivity, and cost.
  • Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Drive disciplined cost management while supporting operational performance and growth.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, ensuring timely actions and strong financial outcomes.
  • Analyze manufacturing, materials, labor, and logistics costs to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Translate financial insights into clear actions and partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance to execute initiatives.
  • Lead and support cross-functional cost savings and productivity projects from idea to implementation.
  • Own financial governance of cost savings programs, ensuring initiatives are tracked, validated, and delivered.
  • Drive accountability through structured processes and tools to ensure cost targets are achieved.
  • Lead loss analysis across operations, identifying inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and enhance reporting tools, including dashboards and automated reports, to improve decision-making.
  • Leverage systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Anaplan, and Power BI to strengthen financial analysis and insights.
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement of financial processes across sites.
  • Contribute to scalable financial practices as the manufacturing network evolves.
