The Receiving Specialist is responsible for accurate receipt, verification, and ERP entry of inbound steel inventory. This role ensures inventory integrity and supports plant operations through coordination with logistics, production, and yard teams.

Requirements

• On-site attendance, 5 days/week
• Work in both office and industrial settings
• Follow safety and PPE guidelines
• High school diploma required
• 2+ years in industrial/manufacturing environment
• ERP system experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Technology Applications

Nice To Haves

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree
• Steel industry experience
• Knowledge / Experience in steel documentation (MTRs, heat numbers)
• Computer proficiency
• Administrative Support Experience

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic receipt of inbound steel inventory in ERP systems
• Verify BOLs, packing lists, and MTRs
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Support audits and cycle counts
• Interface with logistics, production, and yard teams
• Resolve discrepancies with vendors/carriers
• Perform reporting and administrative tasks for plant leadership
• Support scheduling, logistics, and planning functions
• Perform other duties as assigned
