Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Must have previous experience working in a similar position and/or previous experience in a Skilled Trade position (Electrician, Mechanic, Millwright, Machinist, Welder/Fabricator, etc.)
  • Must have a basic level of knowledge and experience reading technical drawings.
  • Must have a basic level of knowledge and experience reading and following specifications and procedures.
  • Excellent attendance required.
  • Must possess good organizational and communication skills.
  • Team oriented, self-motivated, safety and quality conscious; requiring minimal supervision.
  • Must be willing to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.
  • The ability to learn and use Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all task under limited supervision.
  • Assumes ownership of work task and demonstrates initiative to get work completed.
  • Review engineering drawings for completeness.
  • Work with Engineering to make modifications to engineering drawings.
  • Performs detailed job planning activities: Researching, Scoping of work, Estimating of material and labor requirements, Developing task instructions, Identifying tool and equipment requirements, Developing job material lists.
  • Provide estimates of work hours and costs to customers.
  • Order and maintain project and work related material as required.
  • Assist with keeping neat and orderly records on work performed.
  • Work with Engineering, Maintenance, Foreman, and Group Leaders to accomplish the desired result.
  • Adjust schedule and work hours to accomplish the desired result, must be able to occasionally work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Perform work assignments efficiently while being consistent with good safety practices.
  • Report any maintenance and/or safety issues to supervisor.
  • Review, understand, and follow all Company specifications and procedures, and regulatory rules and requirements that are associated with the performance of this job.
  • Reviews all work order feedback and updates work task accordingly.
  • Other duties as assigned by the department Foreman.
