Planned Maintenance Tech
About The Position
The Planned Maintenance Technician services, repairs, commissions, and operates Aggreko products, working independently and as part of a team in shops and at customer sites. The role is based in Reno, Nevada, and involves extensive daily local travel in a company vehicle. The technician performs equipment maintenance and cleaning, completes required records and customer-site checks, and communicates confidently with customers. The position supports Aggreko’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and requires compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and training. The pay rate is $25.00 to $32.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Technical aptitude and the ability to think through and resolve technical problems.
- Mechanical inclination and familiarity with basic hand-tool operation and automotive lubrication and oil-change work.
- Ability and willingness to perform physical work, get hands dirty, and interact with internal and external customers to deliver solutions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of gas- and/or diesel-powered generators and air compressors.
Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and clean equipment, including performing oil and filter changes and checking and topping off fluids on power generators, diesel generators, and/or compressors in the shop or at customer sites.
- Travel extensively each day to local field sites in a company vehicle.
- Perform preventive and planned maintenance as directed by the supervisor, following safety guidelines.
- Complete expense reports, work logs, maintenance records, and repair logs accurately and on time, including required data entry and use of relevant computer systems and software.
- Complete customer site-visit checks and maintain appropriate badging for site access.
- Communicate confidently with customers.
- Comply with Aggreko QHSE policies, procedures, objectives, local legislation and laws, and complete assigned QHSE training in a timely manner.
